Cell service is very poor in our area. Alternatively use wifi for phone calls.
Security & Safety
Guests are provided with a personalized code that works for both entry doors.
Motion sensitive security cameras are located outside both exterior apartment doors.
There is a peep hole with a cover on the front entry door.
There is motion activated lighting on each end and the back of the home and at the entrance to the game room.
Exterior lights are next to both of the apartment exterior doors and are turned off and on manually with a switch from the inside.
A fire extinguisher and fire blanket is in the laundry room next to the door.

Detached game room: pool table, Wii, TV, stereo, dart board, table & chairs and games. Please leave the room the way that you found it. You will find an electric heater to heat the game room.

Heating & Cooling
The apartment has a dedicated forced air gas furnace. The thermostat is located in the living room wall next to the bedroom door. Use the touch screen to adjust the temperature to your comfort level. Please reduce the temp or turn off the heat when you leave for an extended period of time.
There are two portable electric fans, one on top of the refrigerator and the other in the bedroom. They may be moved if you prefer.
All of the windows open and have screens to let fresh air in. Be sure that the AC and heat is turned off if you open the windows.
There are two AC units. The one in the bedroom has a remote control. They are vented though the wall and may not be moved. Please turn them off when you when you leave.
TV
The 42"Fire Smart TV is connected to WiFi and an antenna for viewing over 60 over the air stations in addition to free TV, music and news apps. To view over the over the air channels select the “live TV” option.
You can log into your own entertainment subscriptions. Be sure to log out of your subscriptions before you check out.
Please do not attach gaming consoles to the TV
Parking:
The apartment includes 2 dedicated off-street parking spaces. One, near the front entry door and the other near the wheelchair ramp by the backdoor entrance. If parking in the back, be sure to close the driveway gate when entering and exiting to deter stray animals and bad actors..
If you or your guests park on the street. Please leave room for daily mail delivery and garbage pick up on Thursdays.
Please do not park in the front driveway area between the carport and the street.
Registered guests may charge their electric vehicle with their own level 1 charging cable. There is an outlet near to the left and around the corner of the front entry door.
While we are in a safe neighborhood, we recommend that you lock your vehicles.
There is a hose with a spray nozzle mounted to the wall next to the door that you are welcome to use.
House Rules
The following rules were provided in the listing prior to your booking your stay with us. Not following them may result in cancellation of your stay without a refund.
Quiet Time: 10:00 pm - 8:00 am.
Smoking & Vaping is allowed outside only.
No pets allowed. Our apartment is pet-free so that people with allergies feel comfortable booking. If you bring a pet onto our property you will be charged a $250 deep cleaning fee to mitigate the allergens left by your pet.
Up to 4 visitors may be on the property at one time, and only when a registered guest is also on site.
Limit of 2 adults and 1 child for overnight occupancy. Exceeding this limit will result in cancellation of your stay without refund
Heat & AC
Turn off heat at the thermostat when using the AC units
Turn down when leaving the apartment for a significant amount of time.
Close window when heat or AC is on
AC units vent through the wall and may not be moved.
Close and lock door electronic locks using the Kwikset button (not the lock in the door knob)
Close and lock windows before leaving.
Burning incense or candles is not allowed.
Do not pour oil or grease down the drains. Use the tin can provided under the kitchen sink.
Only toilet paper in the toilet. No wipes, sanitary products or other items may be flushed. Plugging drain with will result in an extra fee.
Do not wear high heels or shoes with spikes. They damage vinyl flooring.
Do not move the TV, big pieces of furniture or wall art.
Do not hang anything on the walls.
Guests may have Amazon, food and other deliveries directed to the guest apartment door using the house address. A doorbell is provided for the apartment door.
The washer and dryer is for guests personal items only. Please do not launder owner owned linens or towels. If fresh linens and towels are wanted, we are happy to exchange used items for fresh.
The shop is for the owner's use only.
Our low cleaning fee covers basic cleaning. If you leave a mess or cause damage you may be charged for extra cleaning or damage repair. You have been provided with what you may need to keep things tidy during your stay. You will find a vacuum, broom & dustpan, old towels and cleaning rags in the entryway closet. Cleaning products and tools are in the laundry room and cabinets.
Be sure to turn off fire pit, grill and sauna after each use. Guests must read and sign a liability waiver before using the sauna.
